Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw: Busts out of scoring slump Wednesday

Shaw scored a goal -- his first of the season -- and chipped in an assist in Wednesday's 6-5 OT loss to the visiting Blues. Shaw had gone nearly a month (Oct. 10) since recording his last point. Owners have struggled to find value in the 24-year-old this year, especially given his modest PIM (10) and SOG (18) totals, so it was nice to see him find the scoresheet.

Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw: One assist for Chicago

Shaw has recorded an assist and holds a minus-1 rating since the Blackhawks' season commenced. The right wing provided an assist to Brent Seabrook in order to bring Chicago to a 4-0 lead in Saturday's 4-1 win against the Islanders. Shaw, who plays for the Blackhawks' fourth line, has the connotation of being determined and hardworking, but that doesn't always correlate to production.

Analysis: Following a quiet series against Nashville, Andrew Shaw got on the board in three of four games as the 'Hawks swept the Wild. Analysis: Perhaps more notably, Andrew Shaw saw just 10:18 of ice time in the win, his lowest total since March 17 against the Islanders, when he picked up 15 PIM. Shaw's presence on the Blackhawks' fourth line could make offense hard to come by throughout the postseason.
