Wild's Jason Zucker: Posts ninth assist

Zucker had his ninth assist of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Islanders. It was his first point in ten games. It was also Zucker's first assist in 36 games, although he's had eight goals during that span. Hopefully Tuesday's assist gets him out of his recent scoring slump.

    Wild's Jason Zucker: Scoring inconsistently

Zucker potted his second goal in the last three games on a breakaway in Thursday's overtime loss to the Flyers. Unlike Brandon Pirri, another young forward who put up a ton of goals and not many assists last year, Zucker's continued that trend, with 12 of his 20 points this season being of the goal variety. Sure, he's only on pace for 40 points on the season thanks to his failure to distribute the puck effectively, but Zucker has moved up to the first line now and played 19:19 in Thursday's game. There's certainly intriguing upside to be found in the former University of Denver standout.

Wild's Jason Zucker: Scores two, including OT winner

Zucker potted a pair of goals Thursday in Carolina, including the overtime winner. The kid's been pouring it on of late -- he's only been held off the scoresheet once in the last 10 games. With Zack Parise (knee) on the sidelines, Zucker's stepping up his game on Minnesota's top line.

Wild's Jason Zucker: Six game point streak

Zucker scored his third goal of the season in Saturday's overtime loss to St. Louis. He stretched his carer-high point streak to six games. Zucker has three goals and four assists and 20 shots on goal during the six-game streak. He's clicking with Mikko Koivu and Nino Niederreiter on the Wild's second line. While his hot streak may continue, he could take a big leap this season age age 23.

Wild's Jason Zucker: Extends point streak with two-point night

Zucker extended his point streak to five games Friday, scoring his second goal of the season and adding an assist in Friday's win over Chicago. Zucker has had an excellent start to the season, notching eight points in 10 games thus far. The 23-year-old is sporting a plus-5 rating and has fired 30 shots on goal, making him an all-around fantasy stud. Zucker, who scored 21 times last season, should continue finding twine in a top-six role with the Wild.

Wild's Jason Zucker: Scores first goal

Zucker scored just 10 seconds into Sunday's game, a 5-4 loss to the Jets. Off the opening faceoff, Zucker was able to slip by a pair of defenders to pot his first goal of the season. After notching just five assists all of last season, the 23-year-old already has four helpers to go along with the goal, and looks ready to have a big year as a top-six option in Minnesota.

  • Wild's Zucker Suffered Broken Thumb In Playoffs

News: Jason Zucker revealed during Monday's season-ending media availability that he played through a broken thumb during the Wild's final eight postseason games, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: After missing two months while recovering from a broken clavicle, Jason Zucker return in early April gave the Wild an immediate boost, as he supplied four goals in his first four games back, including a score in Game 1 of the first-round series with St. Louis. However, after fracturing his thumb when he blocked a shot by the Blues' Alex Pietrangelo in Game 2, Zucker was never the same, providing just one goal and one assist for the Wild the rest of the way. He's likely still experiencing some numbness with the thumb that may continue to dog him during the summer, but Zucker should be back to full strength by training camp. Despite his bad luck on the injury front, the 23-year-old was often the Wild's top sniper when healthy, and could be poised for a breakout 2015-16 campaign.
