Red Wings' Riley Sheahan: Nets goal in win over Lightning

Sheahan potted his second goal of the season in a 2-1 win against Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Sheahan's off to a bit of a slow start this season, with a minus-5 and four points in 12 games. He does have a point in each of the last two games, however, as Detroit seems to be righting the ship somewhat. That being said, unless he gets on a major hot streak, Sheahan is likely to end the season with 25-30 points.

Fantasy owners couldn't have been happy with his fairly modest 36-point output despite increased minutes this year, but Wings fans were sure happy about the 2-0 cushion he gave them with his third-period tally.

It's possible that he might suit up for Sunday's game, though it's probably more likely that the team will give him some additional time off to recover.
