• Pots goal in Monday's preseason win

News: Scott Hartnell scored a goal in Tuesday's 5-2 preseason win over the Predators.
Analysis: It was the only Columbus goal on the night not scored by the team's dominant top line of Ryan Johansen, Brandon Saad and Nick Foligno. Scott Hartnell is currently slotted in on the Jackets' third line, but skating with promising young center Alexander Wennberg and diminutive sniper Cam Atkinson should still provide the veteran winger with some scoring chances.
  • Columbus' Hartnell Hits 60-Point Plateau

News: Scott Hartnell scored his 28th goal of the season and added an assist in Saturday's shootout loss to the Islanders.
Analysis: The points give him 60, a tally he has equalled or surpassed just three times in his career. He actually turned up the gas in his last 10 games, delivering 20 points, including six goals. He's a good fit in Columbus and that spells fantasy success.
  • Jackets' Hartnell Notches Goal, Assist In Win

News: Scott Hartnell collected a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 5-0 win over the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell is quietly having an excellent season for his fantasy owners, and has now racked up 27 goals, 31 assists, and 98 PIM in 75 games on the season. He's got four points in his last four games, and should be considered a solid fantasy winger heading into next season.
  • Hartnell's Hattie Lifts Jackets

News: Scott Hartnell scored a power-play goal, an even-strength goal, and an empty-netter Tuesday in a 5-3 win over Anaheim.
Analysis: Another terrific outing for Scott Hartnell, who more than compensated for going one game off the scoresheet. He also picked up a couple PIM for the third consecutive game, a lovely complement to his 10 points over his last eight contests. Hartsy's now surpassed last year's 52 points in 10 fewer games -- nice.
  • Streak Hits Six For Jackets' Hartnell

News: Scott Hartnell recorded a goal and went plus-3 in Thursday's win over the Canucks, giving him his second 50-point campaign in as many seasons.
Analysis: The tally improved Scott Hartnell's point streak to six games. After closing February on a five-game scoring skid, Hartnell has been on fire since the beginning of this month, producing eight goals and 11 points over 10 games. Keep rolling him out there until he cools.
  • Jackets' Hartnell Scores In Fourth Straight

News: Scott Hartnell potted a goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell has been on fire, finding the back of the net in four straight contests with five goals in that span. The 32-year-old has picked up nine points in his last eight games -- seven goals and two assists -- to bring him within two points of reaching the 50-point mark for the fourth time in his career.
  • Jackets' Hartnell Pots Another Goal Friday

News: Scott Hartnell scored his fourth goal in the last three games during Friday's shootout win over the Oilers.
Analysis: After finishing up February with a five game scoreless drought, Scott Hartnell's kicked things back into gear with eight points (six goals, two assists) in seven March contests. Friday's goal was his 20th of the season, marking the eighth time in his career that he's reached that plateau.
  • Hartnell's Two Goals Help Lift Jackets

News: Scott Hartnell scored a pair of power-play goals to erase a 3-1 deficit and send Tuesday's game to overtime and eventually a shootout, with the Jackets taking away a 4-3 win over Carolina.
Analysis: Scott Hartnell had gone a week -- just two games, to be fair -- without a point since busting out with two goals and an assist last Tuesday. Nonetheless, he's now got 18 goals on the year, so he's quite likely to surpass last season's 20, and with 45 points, he should exceed last year's 52. Now if only he could draw that minus-12 rating up.
  • Huge Night For Jackets' Hartnell

News: Scott Hartnell factored into all three Columbus goals Tuesday in a loss to Washington, scoring two (one on a power play), assisting on the other, and tacking on four penalty minutes.
Analysis: A huge night for Hartsy, but he was outshone by Alex Ovechkin and the Caps. With 43 points in 58 games, he has a good chance to surpass last year's 52-point total, but he's also sitting on the worst plus-minus of his career (minus-12).
  • Jackets' Hartnell Picks Up Assist

News: Scott Hartnell added an assist Sunday in a 5-3 loss to the Penguins.
Analysis: The assist helped Scott Hartnell snap out of a cold funk that saw the winger go pointless in five straight games. His offensive production has been quite sporadic this season and we're not loving his minus-12 rating, but Hartnell remains a serviceable fantasy option as the owner of 14 goals and 26 assists in 57 games.
