Rangers' Dominic Moore: Rating headed south

Moore was minus-1 with two shots on goal in a 4-2 win over Minnesota on Thursday. While the pointless streak increases to 10 games, its really the minus-5 rating over the course of the past 12 contests that could be worrisome. Of course, these numbers should have little impact on most fantasy owners, with the exception of those in custom formats. The veteran fourth line center is minus-1 with 10 points through 49 games played this season.

Rangers' Dominic Moore: Picks up two points against Lightning

Moore scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Tampa Bay. Moore has picked it up offensively of late, with seven of his nine points this season coming in December. Still, the veteran has proven to be nothing more than a bottom-six forward over his 11 seasons in the NHL, suggesting this offensive outburst will probably be short-lived.

Rangers' Dominic Moore: Puts up rare multi-point effort

Moore picked up a pair of assists -- one on an empty-netter -- and went plus-2 in a win over the Oilers. Half of Moore's six points on the season have come in the last two games, but that doesn't mean the bottom-six center is working his way into a bigger role. He did, however, very nearly have an empty-net goal, as his shot in the waning seconds was blocked by Andrej Sekera, then put into the open net by Jesper Fast. Moore's the kind of player whose contributions usually don't show up on the scoresheet, so it's nice to see him get rewarded with a couple points.

Rangers' Dominic Moore: Cracks lineup again in win over Leafs

Moore played registered two shots on goal and two hits in a 4-3 win over the Leafs on Sunday. After sitting out two straight game as a healthy scratch, the veteran center still logged nearly 17 minutes in the victory. While we're fairly sure Moore won't always be the healthy scratch variable, he's got just one point through 16 games played, leaving Moore way off from his 27-point pace from last season.

Rangers' Dominic Moore: May sit Thursday against Montreal

Moore could serve as a healthy scratch in Thursday's match-up against Montreal, cites Andrew Gross of The Record. The 35-year-old Moore scored his first goal (and only point) in last Saturday's win over Columbus. Fellow center and linemate Jarret Stoll was seen rotating with Emerson Etem at practice on Wednesday. Our money is on Moore since he's often used on the team's penalty-kill unit, but your guess is as good as ours. Either way, fourth line minutes leave them both irrelevant to any standard fantasy formats.

  • Moore Nets Winner To Lift Rangers In Game 1

News: Dominic Moore notched the game-winning goal Saturday in the Rangers' 2-1 win over the Lightning in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. The goal came with just 2:25 left in the game.
Analysis: He came out of the penalty box -- perhaps the longest two minutes of his hockey career -- and joined the rush. Dominic Moore then tipped Kevin Hayes' shot from the left wing past Ben Bishop for his first goal in 13 games this postseason. He doesn't get many points -- he delivers in many different ways on the ice. But this one was sweet.
  • Rangers' Moore Caps Season With Two-Point Outing

News: Dominic Moore registered a goal and assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Capitals.
Analysis: While Dominic Moore's totals of 10 goals and 27 points in 82 games weren't likely to merit much intrigue in the fantasy realm, in considering that he routinely saw fourth-line duties to go along with a lack of power-play time, his scoring total is quite impressive. Coach Alain Vigneault can probably rest comfortably in the 34-year-old's ability to keep the Rangers' attack humming even when top centers Derek Stepan, Kevin Hayes, and Derick Brassard are on the bench.
  • Rangers' Moore: Three Goals In Last Two Games

News: Dominic Moore scored two goals in Saturday's win over the Devils. He now has three goals in his last two games.
Analysis: He goes through too many dry spells to be of much fantasy value (he'd been held off the scoresheet for eight straight before his current two-game streak). But it sure was a nice night for him.
  • Rangers' Moore Finds The Net In Win

News: Dominic Moore opened up the scoring in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Wild with seventh goal of the season.
Analysis: Surely a big monkey off the veteran back as it snaps a eight game point drought and marks Dominic Moore's first goal in exactly a month. While the fourth line center is the last thing fantasy owners write home about the 38-year-old Ontario native is a key component to the team's upcoming playoff run.
  • Rangers' Moore Dishes Out Two Helpers

News: Dominic Moore assisted on both goals in Sunday's 2-1 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: The multi-point effort stops a five game skid without a point for Dominic Moore. The pair of points gives him his fifth 20-point season, but that level of production won't help out in most fantasy leagues.
