Blue Jackets' Seth Jones: Extends point streak to four games Thursday

Jones picked up an assist on Scott Hartnell's second-period goal in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Flames. After needing a few games to adjust to his new surroundings, Jones now has five points (all assists) in his last four games for the Blue Jackets, while also adding a plus-five rating, 10 shots on goal, 14 hits and seven blocked shots over that stretch. The Jackets are still the worst team in the NHL and won't provide him with a lot of support, but Jones could be poised to take a big step forward in his production in the second half.

Blue Jackets' Seth Jones: Picks up two points Tuesday

Jones collected two assists in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Capitals. Jones has produced well for the Jackets since coming over from the Predators in exchange for Ryan Johansen. The blueliner now has four points in his last three games, and could be a more valuable fantasy player now that he's getting to play on a top pairing.

Blue Jackets' Seth Jones: Picks up first Blue Jacket point Wednesday

Jones assisted on Boone Jenner's first-period goal in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Maple Leafs, his first point since joining the Blue Jackets. The 21-year-old defenseman also dished three hits and blocked four shots in arguably his best game since being traded for Ryan Johansen. Jones is seeing big minutes and plenty of power play time with Columbus, so don't be surprised if his fantasy value begins trending upward despite his modest production (one goal and 12 points in 44 games) so far on the season.

Blue Jackets' Seth Jones: Dealt to Columbus

Jones has been traded to Columbus in exchange for center Ryan Johansen. The Blue Jackets sorely need help on the blue line, and Jones figures to give them a slight boost in that department. While Jones is barely turning heads on the fantasy stage with 10 points in 40 games, he's a well-rounded defenseman who should get a healthy amount of minutes for Columbus. Just keep in mind that he goes from a team with a minus-2 goal differential to one that is minus-26 and dead last in the Eastern Conference standings.

    Predators' Seth Jones: Struggling offensively

Jones was held off the scoresheet for the 17th straight game Saturday against Minnesota. Jones continues to see a decent amount of ice time (19:46) as one of the Preds' top four defensemen, but he's failing to produce anything offensively right now. With just 10 points in 33 games - and nothing in over a month - he'll be lucky to crack the 20-point mark this season. Keep him on your fantasy bench until he finds a way to right the ship.

Predators' Seth Jones: Three-point night Saturday

Jones had a goal and two assists in Saturday's win over the Jets. Jones managed to stay out of the rough stuff, finishing without any penalty minutes despite the two teams combining for 156 penalty minutes on the night.

Predators' Seth Jones: Adds two assists Tuesday

Jones recorded two assists in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Senators. Jones now has seven assists through 14 games on the year, and continues to be one of the most promising young defensive prospects in the league.

Nashville Predators' Seth Jones Assists twice on Opening Night

Jones collected two assists -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's Opening Night victory against the Hurricanes. He helped out on both Nashville goals in the game while playing a surprising 21:04 -- that's only 40 seconds less than Roman Josi. Jones' minutes may not always be that high, but he should see a consistent share of power-play time, and that combined with his pedigree as the No. 4 overall pick in 2013 makes the 21-year-old an appealing fantasy option, particularly in deeper formats.

  • Preds' Jones Collects Assist In Double OT Loss

News: Seth Jones notched a helper in Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime loss to the Blackhawks.
Analysis: After his production ran dry for much of March, Seth Jones is beginning to provide more offense of late from the Preds' blue line. In his past seven games, he's racked up two goals, two assists, and 20 shots on goal. He might make for a strong, low-cost target in daily slates during the postseason.
  • Preds' Jones Claims First Goal Since Feb. 10

News: Seth Jones found the back of the net for the seventh time this season in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Flames.
Analysis: After noticing a surge in his production in January and the early part of February, Seth Jones has since reverted to his normal disappearing act on the score sheet. Sunday's goal was his first since Feb. 10, and he hasn't made up for it in the assist category with only four helpers in his 24 games since that time. Keep him parked on the bench or send him to the waiver wire in season-long formats.
