Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Pots goal in win over Sharks

Jarnkrok scored a goal for the second consecutive game Saturday against the Sharks. Jarnkrok recently replaced Filip Forsberg on the Preds' top line alongside Ryan Johansen and James Neal, so we like his chances of keeping his goal streak alive as long as he continues to skate on the team's top unit. He's worth a flyer in medium to deeper leagues right now.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Failing to score despite second-line role

Jarnkrok failed to record a point for the 10th consecutive game during Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Blackhawks, and saw ice time of just 12:39 despite skating on a scoring line with Mike Ribeiro and Filip Forsberg. Jarnkrok enjoyed a decent month of December with six points in 11 games, but he has failed to light the lamp since the calendar flipped over to January, giving him just 13 points in 45 games. Overall, Jarnkrok is much too inconsistent a scorer to recommend for fantasy purposes outside of very deep formats.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Set to resume checking role for Preds

Jarnkrok is expected to return to a checking-line role now that Mike Fisher (lower body) has rejoined the lineup, Adam Vingan of the Tennessean reports. In the 11 games he filled in for Fisher, Jarnkrok scored five points (1 goal, 4 assists) and was averaging over 19 minutes of ice time, almost six minutes more than he was seeing previously. This included almost three minutes on the power play. Sadly for Jarnkrok owners, he will now return to a bottom-six role where the opportunities to contribute offensively won't be as plentiful. Feel free to adjust your lineups accordingly.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Scores sixth goal in win

Jarnkrok scored his sixth goal of the season and had an assist in Monday's win over the Habs. The 24-year-old has points in back-to-back wins for the Predators and is making the most of his time on the second line with James Neal and Colin Wilson. While he's been streaky this season, Jarnkrok is currently seeing top power-play minutes and could be worth looking at in deeper formats.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Assists on game winner vs. Wild

Jarnkrok assisted on the game-winning goal Saturday against the Wild. After seeing less than 13 minutes per game in a bottom-six role last season, Jarnkrok has been a much bigger part of the Preds' offense this year. He's currently averaging almost a full three minutes more in ice time (15:35), and he's being used on the second power-play unit after not seeing any meaningful time there last season. With 10 points in 32 games, Jarnkrok figures to surpass the career-high 18 points he recorded a year ago, making him a solid pickup candidate in deeper fantasy formats.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Sees increased role with injury to Fisher

Jarnkrok skated on both the first and second lines during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes. He scored a power-play goal and saw a season-high 20:20 in ice time. To start the game, coach Peter Laviolette had Jarnkrok at right wing on the top line with Mike Ribeiro and Filip Forsberg. Later in the second period, Jarnkrok filled in as the second-line center when Mike Fisher was forced from the game with a lower-body injury. Previously, with just seven points in 23 games, Jarnkrok was more or less off-radar when it came to fantasy value. Now that he's in a top-six role, he has some definite upside. He's worth plucking from your league's waiver wire for any of you in deeper formats.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Pots second goal of season in loss to Ducks

Jarnkrok scored his second goal of the season - in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Ducks. After being held off the scoresheet for six straight games, Jarnkrok found himself sitting out as a healthy scratch recently (Oct. 24). However, he has since responded well, as his two goals have both come in the past three games. If the hot streak continues, he could be worth a pickup in medium to deeper leagues. Keep an eye on him.

Predators' Calle Jarnkrok: Expected to return Wednesday

Jarnkrok (illness) said he expects to return to the lineup Wednesday versus the Sharks, Adam Vingan of the Tennessean reports. Jarnkrok was under the weather and it caused him to miss Saturday's game, but he's reportedly feeling much better now. Unfortunately, he's failed to record a point since notching an assist in the season opener. He still figures to have a bright future as a solid playmaker with excellent vision but with just 93 games behind him, it may be best to wait until he has more NHL experience on his resume.
