Sharks' Chris Tierney: Snaps slump Thursday

Tierney snapped a nine-game goalless streak with a goal in Thursday's win over the Panthers. The 21-year-old will be in a place to succeed with some offensive talent on his wings, but his ceiling is capped by lack of mobility inside the roster.

With the season winding down, the current third-line center has definitely played well enough to earn a bigger role with the club next season. With 19 points and a plus-5 rating in just 40 games, the rising youngster is definitely one to keep watch on.
    • Tierney On A Tear For Sharks

News: Chris Tierney had a goal and a plus-1 rating in Wednesday's win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: While Chris Tierney has just five goals through 38 games in his rookie campaign, he's posted three goals and three assists in his last seven games. He's showing promise that he could deliver on next season.
    • Sharks' Tierney Contributing Steadily

News: Chris Tierney scored his fourth goal of the year and tacked on an assist in Thursday's 6-4 win over Detroit.
Analysis: Despite up-and-down ice time -- just 11:48 on Thursday -- Chris Tierney's been a consistent scoresheet presence of late, with seven points in his last 10 games. Though his fantasy value remains limited to deeper formats, the 20-year-old is certainly showing intriguing potential.
    • Sharks' Tierney Scores In Loss

News: Chris Tierney chipped in his third goal of the season in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Senators.
Analysis: Chris Tierney has had a surprisingly productive month of March, tallying five points (two goals) in his last nine contests. The 20-year-old rarely puts the puck on net though, and has just 12 points on the year so he doesn't have too much value in most single-season fantasy formats.
    • Sharks' Tierney Gets Two Power-Play Helpers

News: Chris Tierney set up a pair of power-play goals -- albeit one into an empty net -- Thursday in a 2-0 win over the Predators.
Analysis: A sparking outing for Chris Tierney, who skated a season-high 16:04. That's a promising sign for the 20-year-old rookie, who's provided four points over the last four games. However, he hasn't put a single shot on goal in six of his last seven contests.
    • Tierney Assists On Lone Sharks Goal Monday
