      News: Conor Allen signed a one-year, two-way contract with Nashville on Thursday.
      Analysis: Conor Allen, who recorded 11 goals and 34 points to go along with 113 PIM in 72 games for AHL Hartford last season, has seen action in seven NHL games to date, without recording a point. The 25-year-old will provide the Preds' organization with blue line depth.
    • Rangers Cut Allen Loose

      News: Conor Allen wasn't extended a qualifying offer by the Rangers on Monday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
      Analysis: Conor Allen skated in four games last season for the Rangers, but his services were only needed with a number of the team's defensemen dealing with injuries. With the Rangers content to let some of their younger blueliners play regularly at AHL Hartford this coming season, Allen was deemed to be expendable.
    • Rangers' Allen Sent To AHL Hartford

      News: Conor Allen was reassigned to AHL Hartford, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
      Analysis: Conor Allen was called up to the Rangers along with Dylan McIlrath when Ryan McDonagah and Kevin Klein went down with injuries. This is pretty much expected since the injuries to McDonagh and Klein are not long term. Allen may be called back up to New York throughout the season when the Rangers are in need of a defenseman but he most likely won't stay for long periods of time. He has two goals and three assists in eight games played this year.

      News: Conor Allen was recalled from Hartford of the AHL on Sunday, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
      Analysis: With Ryan McDonagh (shoulder) Kevin Klein (foot) both banged up, the Rangers called up Conor Allen, as well as teammate Dylan McIlrath on Monday. The pair will likely be in Monday's lineup against the Blues. Allen has two goals and three assists in eight games for Hartford this season.

      News: Conor Allen was assigned to AHL Hartford on Wednesday.
      Analysis: Conor Allen, 24, appeared in three games for the Rangers last season, but wasn't able to distinguish himself enough in training camp to earn a roster spot. He'll instead head back to Hartford, where he accumulated six goals and 25 assists over 72 contests.
