    • Flames Send Kolanos To AHL

News: Krys Kolanos was sent down to the AHL Tuesday, the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: With Blake Comeau's return to the lineup, Krys Kolanos found himself the odd forward out. He has played decently in injury fill-in duty this season, but only has one point to show for it.
    • Calgary Recalls Kolanos

News: Calgary recalled Krys Kolanos on Monday, reports.
Analysis: Krys Kolanos has just one point in his 10 NHL showings this year, so he's unlikely to emerge as a fantasy factor.
    • Flames' Kolanos Assigned To AHL

News: Krys Kolanos (lower body) was assigned to AHL Abbotsford Monday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Krys Kolanos played 10 games with the Flames, his first time in the big leagues since 2008-09 with the Wild. It's not likely Kolanos will become a mainstay in the NHL anytime soon, but he'll see spot duty every now and again.
    • Calgary Places Kolanos On Waivers

News: Krys Kolanos (lower body) was placed on waivers Saturday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: It's not clear what the injury situation is for Krys Kolanos at this point, but for whatever reason Calgary saw no room for him on the roster right now.
    • Flames' Kolanos Leaves With Injury

News: Krys Kolanos left Thursday's game against Phoenix with a lower-body injury, the Associated Press reports.
Analysis: No word yet on the extent of Krys Kolanos' injury. We'll keep you updated when more information becomes available.
    • Flames' Kolanos Gets On Stat Sheet

News: Krys Kolanos scored his first point of the season Tuesday as the Flames fell to the Oilers 6-1.
Analysis: The assist was actually Krys Kolanos' first point since the 2008-09 season. While he is valuable to the Flames, he is not going to help your fantasy team much with one point in nine games.
    • Flames' Kolanos To Make Debut Friday

News: Krys Kolanos is slotted on the Flames' second line alongside Blair Jones and Michael Cammalleri for Friday's game, the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Krys Kolanos has been a huge scorer in AHL Abbotsford, but hasn't had as much success in the NHL. While he is playing with Cammalleri, he needs to prove himself before you even take a look at him on the waiver wire.
    • Flames Sign, Recall Kolanos

News: The Flames signed Krys Kolanos to a two-year, two-way contract on Wednesday, according to the team's official website. Kolanos, who had already been playing with AHL Abbotsford, was recalled after signing the contract.
Analysis: Krys Kolanos joined Abbotsford on a tryout contract, but he proved to be much more than just another player, leading the team with 40 points (18G, 22A) in 34 games. Though Kolanos lit up the scoreboard in the AHL, be aware that he picked up just three points in 21 NHL games since 2005. He will need to prove he can score at the NHL level before being a potential fantasy factor.
    • Kolanos jumps ship to Philly

News: The Flyers announced Thursday they signed forwards forwards Lukas Kaspar, Krys Kolanos, Mika Pyorala and Jason Ward and defenseman Joey Mormina to one-year contracts. "Lukas, Krys and Jason are experienced skilled players who have each had a share of NHL time during their careers," Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said. "We feel each player solidifies our organizational depth at the forward position. Mika is a 28-year-old player with a wealth of experience in the European Elite Leagues and is capable of playing all forward positions. Joey is a player we are familiar with and drafted back in 2002. He has AHL experience and we feel he will be a positive influence on our young defensemen in Glens Falls, as well as providing depth to the organization."
Analysis: The 27-year-old Kolanos totaled six points (three goals) in 21 games with the Wild in 2008-09. He also had 31 goals and 51 points in 45 games with Houston of the AHL. Kolanos has appeared in 136 career NHL games with the Wild, Oilers and Coyotes, but hasn't received full-time NHL work since 2001-02. He is merley organizational depth and has little to no Fantasy value.
    • Kolanos recalled by Wild

News: The Sports Xchange reports Wild C Krys Kolanos, who totaled six points in 19 games earlier this season in the NHL, was called up from AHL Houston Sunday and started against the Oilers in place of C Peter Olvecky, who was injured as he blocked a shot off his knee Saturday.
Analysis: Kolanos has been up-and-down plenty this season and even had to clear waivers at one time. He is merely organizational depth for Minnesota and has no Fantasy value.
