  • Leafs Send Bodie To AHL

News: Troy Bodie has been assigned to the AHL's Toronto Marlies, reports.

  • Bodie Recalled By Leafs

News: Troy Bodie has been recalled from AHL Toronto, reports.
Analysis: Troy Bodie, who has recorded seven points and 34 PIM in 32 AHL games this season, adds size and depth to the Leafs' forward mix, but he's off the fantasy radar in most formats. The 6-foot-5, 226-pounder, who has yet to suit up for the big club this season, recorded 10 points and 26 PIM in 47 games for the Leafs last season.
  • Leafs Return Bodie To Minors

News: Troy Bodie was reassigned to AHL Toronto on Monday, James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail reports.
Analysis: Troy Bodie had been recalled from the minors a day earlier, but it was only a procedural move for cap-related purposes. The winger has seven points across 32 games at the AHL level this season.
  • Maple Leafs Send Bodie To AHL

News: The Maple Leafs assigned Troy Bodie to AHL Toronto on Tuesday, James Mirtle of the Globe and Mail reports.
Analysis: Troy Bodie was part of the Maple Leafs' Opening Night roster, but he was sent down to open a spot for Cody Franson (knee), who is expected to return for Toronto's next game Saturday.
  • Leafs Recall Bodie

News: Troy Bodie was recalled from AHL Toronto on Tuesday, Jonas Siegel of TSN Radio 1050 reports.
Analysis: Troy Bodie's promotion back to the NHL club may be short-lived, as Tuesday's series of transactions were made by the Leafs in an effort to manipulate the salary cap rules. Defenseman Stuart Percy was sent down to the minors temporarily for that reason, but he's expected to be recalled Wednesday. Bodie could end up getting sent back to the AHL to make room for Percy.
  • Maple Leafs' Bodie Clears Waivers

News: Troy Bodie cleared waivers and was assigned to AHL Toronto on Tuesday.
Analysis: Troy Bodie appeared in 47 games with the Maple Leafs last season, but it does not appear he will break camp with the club this year. He could be an option for the Maple Leafs at some point this season.
  • Maple Leafs Waive Bodie

News: Troy Bodie was waived by the Maple Leafs on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Troy Bodie was a semi-regular player for the Maple Leafs last season, logging three goals and seven assists over 47 games. However, with the team adding Daniel Winnik, Mike Santorelli, Leo Komarov and Petri Kontiola to the roster in the offseason, there was evidently no room for Bodie to stick around. He'll report to AHL Toronto if he goes unclaimed off waivers.
  • Bodie Signs With Leafs

News: The Leafs signed Troy Bodie to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Analysis: Troy Bodie, who notched three goals, 10 points and 26 PIM in 47 games with Toronto last year, is a big-bodied winger who should contend for a bottom-six role in training camp.
  • Leafs' Bodie Getting Increased Ice Time

News: Troy Bodie has seen good ice time over the Leafs' last four games -- more than 13 minutes in two games, and more than 20 in a third. He has no points, but has delivered six shots and six hits in those four games.
Analysis: Troy Bodie's ice time has ranged from 11:11 to 20:29 in that span. The Leafs are in trouble if he's playing 20 minutes a night, but the big man has a future on a strong fourth line in the future. He can keep up with the play in ways that typical big men can't, so that spells a positive potential for him. Bodie's not a guy who'll drop the gloves a lot, but he'll be hard to play against -- though that's not something that will necessarily generate much fantasy value.
  • Leafs' Bodie Continues To Impress

News: Troy Bodie had an impressive game Saturday against the Flyers. He picked up two assists and fired five shots in 15:26.
Analysis: He's big and strong, and he doesn't mind throwing his weight around on the forecheck and along the wall. He can skate and his strong play is earning him increased playing time and responsibility. He's not fantasy worthy (yet), but may be a lower-level contributor in hits leagues next season.
