      Analysis: Maxime Fortunus captained AHL Texas to their 2014 Calder Cup victory in one of three seasons he's spent as team captain. He was also a captain of the AHL All-Star team this season. The veteran defenseman posted nine goals and 25 assists in 65 AHL games, but has totaled just nine career NHL games. He'll certainly get signed, he doesn't figure to make an impact in fantasy hockey.
    • Fortunus Has Five Shots For AHL Stars

      News: Maxime Fortunus fired five shots, though he didn't connect on any, in the AHL Stars' Game 7 win over the Marlies on Tuesday.
      Analysis: Maxime Fortunus, who had 28 points in 67 games this season, only has three assists and no goals through 16 postseason games. He's skating on the third defensive pairing. With a crop of exciting young defensemen and being 30 years old, Fortunus, a UFA and two-season team captain, may find himself looking for work elsewhere next season.
