Canadiens' Carey Price: Out at least six weeks

Price (leg) will miss at least six weeks but will not require surgery. Price was earlier confirmed to miss at least a month with the issue, but now that has been extended to a minimum of six weeks. The team still hasn't revealed the exact nature of the injury, but reportedly related to the injury that sen him to IR earlier in the season. Mike Condon should continue to see the majority of starts in net during Price's absence, with Dustin Tokarski seeing some action as well.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Out for a month, per RDS report

Price (leg) will be out a month, according to the French-language Francois Gagnon announced the news following Friday night's shootout win over New Jersey on the RDS's post-game show l'Antichambre. Hockey Inside Out indicated the injury is probably to Price's right knee. HIO also has Montreal head coach Michel Therrien saying that Gagnon and RDS knew something that he didn't. The coach added that Price will be examined by doctors when the team gets back to Montreal.

Canadiens' Carey Price: On IR and out at least one week

Price (leg) has been placed on injured reserve and will miss at least one week, reports. Price was removed from Wednesday's contest against the Rangers, apparently reaggravating the lower-body injury that caused him to miss nine games between the end of October and Nov. 19. On Thursday, the Canadiens recalled goalie Dustin Tokarski from AHL St. John's, serving as Montreal's backup netminder with Mike Condon reportedly drawing the start Friday night against the Devils. With the Habs currently leading the league with 36 points in the standings, there is little incentive to rush Price back from his injury.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Dealing with same injury as before

Head coach Michel Therrien said after Wednesday's game that Price is dealing with the same right leg injury that sidelined him earlier this season, Amanda Stein of TSN 690 reports. It's not clear exactly what type of injury Price is dealing with, but it is concerning that he is dealing with the same setback that cost him nine games earlier this season. Price has been ruled out for Friday's game, and his status beyond that is uncertain. Mike Condon will once again work as the Canadiens' primary goaltender in Price's absence.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Exits Wednesday's game with injury

Price has been ruled out of the rest of Wednesday's game against the Rangers with a right-leg injury, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Price appeared to sustain the injury when pushing himself across the crease in the second period of Wednesday's contest. Mike Condon replaced him in net to start the third period, and Price was ruled out of the rest of the game shortly thereafter. It isn't clear if the injury is related to the lower-body ailment that just cost Price nine of Montreal's last 11 games. The Canadiens should provide an update on the star netminder's status after they have an opportunity to evaluate him further.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Starting Wednesday against Rangers

Price will be in the crease in Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Marc Antoine Godin of La Presse (Montreal) reports. Price has posted back-to-back wins since returning from injury Friday against the Islanders, and will look to secure a third straight win Wednesday against a Rangers club that has also won its last two games. It will be a tough matchup, as New York has been one of the league's top offensive units this season, averaging 3.10 goals scored per game, fourth best in the NHL.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Turns aside 21 in win

Price stopped 21 of 23 shots in Sunday's win over the Islanders. Making his second start since returning off the injured reserve, Price got the win against the Islanders once again to improve to 9-2-0 on the season. He's shown no rust since coming back and should continue to be deployed whenever he gets the starting nod.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Starting in net Sunday

Price will be the starting netminder Sunday in a home start against the Islanders, Marc Antoine Godin of La Presse (Montreal) reports. This will count as Price's first start in Montreal since defeating the Maple Leafs on Oct. 24. Of course, the stud goalie dealt with a lower-body injury that kept him out of eight November games before returning to action Friday night against the Islanders. He held his own in that game, turning aside 33 of 36 shots en route to his eighth win of the 2015-16 campaign.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Makes 33 saves in winning return

Price allowed three goals on 36 shots in Friday's 5-3 win over the Islanders. The Islanders tested Price throughout the game but the reigning Vezina Trophy winner held the fort, allowing one goal per period. The win gives Price eight on the year in 10 games played. He is the best, if not one of the best, goalies in the NHL.

Canadiens' Carey Price: Will start Friday

Price (lower body) will return to the ice Friday, starting between the pipes against the Islanders. Price has been sidelined since Nov. 1 with the injury, but his long-awaited return will finally come Friday against the Islanders. The netminder began the season 7-2-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .926 save percentage before going down, and will face a tough task in the high-powered Islanders in his return Friday. The Canadiens sent Dustin Tokarski back to AHL St. John's in a corresponding move.
