  • Oilers' Reddox Will Play In Sweden

News: Reddox will play with the Vaxjo Lakers of the Swedish Elite League next season, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Analysis: Reddox was drafted by Edmonton in 2004 and played 100 games for the team. He was never able to get a solid foothold on a roster spot and will look to Europe for more ice time.
  • Oilers' Recall Reddox From The AHL

News: Reddox was recalled from the AHL on Monday, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Analysis: Reddox was leading his AHL team in scoring and will look to add some spark to a stagnant Oilers offense of late.
  • Oilers Cut Reddox

News: Reddox was cut Monday, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Analysis: This comes as a bit of a surprise as Reddox will now have to pass through waivers in order to be sent down to the minors and there are quite a few scouts who believe that some team will put in a claim for Reddox. A change of scenery may be the best thing for Reddox as the Oilers seem to be concentrating on bigger bodies for their roster.
  • Reddox Expected to Make Oilers' Final Roster

News: Reddox is a good bet to begin the season with Edmonton, according to the Edmonton Journal.
Analysis: The Oilers don't believe that Reddox would pass through waivers so he will more than likely start the season with the Oilers.
  • Reddox active against Blackhawks

News: Edmonton LW Liam Reddox was able to play against Chicago after leaving with an ankle injury on Thursday. He did not record a point in the game.
Analysis: Reddox has only played in seven games for Edmonton this season and is more organizational depth than anything. Continue to ignore him in all formats, healthy or not.
  • Reddox goes for X-rays on ankle

News: The Oilers official Web site reports that LW Liam Reddox went for X-rays on his ankle Thursday after he took a puck off it during Wednesday's win over the Avalanche.
Analysis: Reddox has only played in six games for Edmonton this season and is more organizational depth than anything. Continue to ignore him in all formats, healthy or not.
  • Reddox healthy enough to play

News: Oilers LW Liam Reddox was in the lineup on Sunday against the Thrashers after sustaining wrist and facial injuries during Wednesday's game against the Sabres. He had no points in 11:41 of ice time and finished at even.
Analysis: Reddox was hurt on a questionable call against Buffalo, but it appears as though Reddox dodged any serious injuries. He is pretty much organizational depth and can be ignored in Fantasy when healthy.
  • Reddox injured on questionable hit

News: Edmonton left wing Liam Reddox was knocked out of the Oilers' 3-1 loss at Buffalo on Wednesday when he was rammed headfirst into the boards by Clarke MacArthur late in the third period. Reddox went after a loose puck along the left boards in the Oilers end when MacArthur leaned into him. Reddox slammed into the boards after appearing to lose balance on his way down. He was on the ice for a couple minutes, and was helped off after a 5-minute delay. He needed assistance heading into the Edmonton locker room. Edmonton coach Pat Quinn said Reddox will need X-rays on a swollen wrist, and that he also sustained a cut on his face. "Watching it on tape, (MacArthur) knew exactly what he was doing. I don't have anything to say on it. His head got smacked, and he took a pretty nasty hit," Quinn said.
Analysis: MacArthur drew a 5-minute major boarding penalty and a game misconduct. While Reddox was on the ice MacArthur showed concern, and placed his hand on Reddox's arm. "It's really just a hockey play," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. "Clarke was just leaning on him trying to get position and his legs got tangled up. It's a tough call. I understand why they called it because of how he went in, but there was no intent, there was no running." Reddox was playing in just his third game of the season. He was up because of injuries to other Edmonton skaters. He is pretty much organizational depth and can be ignored in Fantasy when healthy.
  • Two Oilers play after recall

News: LW Liam Reddox and C Ryan Potulny were in uniform for the Oilers on Sunday against the Avalanche after being recalled from Springfield of the AHL on Saturday. Potulny had a goal and an assist, while Reddox had an assist and plus-1 rating.
Analysis: Reddox and Potulny are just up with the team as the Oilers deal with some injuries. Both players are likely headed back to the AHL shortly. Don't put them on Fantasy rosters.
  • Oilers, Reddox come to terms

News: The Oilers re-signed forward Liam Reddox Wednesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Analysis: The 23-year-old Reddox totaled five goals and seven assists in 46 games with the Oilers last season. It was his first full NHL campaign. Reddox provides some lower-line depth for the Oilers, but he doesn't have much Fantasy appeal when active.
