    • Setoguchi Inks Tryout Offer With Leafs

News: Devin Setoguchi has signed a professional tryout offer with the Maple Leafs, according to Matt Brown of Sportsnet 590 The FAN.
Analysis: The 28-year-old inked a deal with the Flames last season, but was waived and sent to the AHL. He only scored three goals and had seven helpers in 19 AHL games in 2014-15. He is looking for a second chance after going to rehab; he's been clean and sober for five months. His lack of commitment to offseason preparation is what his burned him in the past, so training camp will tell the tale.

Analysis: Devin Setoguchi had previously left Saturday's game against the Panthers with the injury, but it apparently wasn't serious enough to force him out of further action. The veteran winger hasn't been a beneficiary of the Flames' surprisingly strong start to the season, as he's failed to provide a point while going minus-7 over 10 games.
    • Flames' Setoguchi Injured

News: Devin Setoguchi left Saturday's game against the Panthers with an upper body injury, Scott Cruickshank of the Calgary Herald reports.
Analysis: Devin Setoguchi skated about five-and-a-half minutes and recorded a minus-2 rating on Saturday before being sidelined with the injury. The winger has no points through nine games this year and should be considered day-to-day until we hear more.
    • Flames' Setoguchi (Illness) Practices Friday

News: Devin Setoguchi (illness) returned to the ice for practice Friday, Aaron Vickers of reports.
Analysis: Devin Setoguchi was held out of practice Thursday because of the illness, but his return to practice Friday indicates he should be fine if needed for future games. That being said, with the Flames enjoying solid health from their wings thus far, Setoguchi will most likely be headed for the press box most nights.
    • Flames' Setoguchi Dealing With Illness

News: Devin Setoguchi didn't take part in Thursday's morning skate due to an illness, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports.

News: Devin Setoguchi was a healthy scratch for Wednesday's 4-2 loss to Vancouver.
Analysis: Devin Setoguchi had 27 points with Winnipeg last season but seems to have been passed by some of the younger forwards in Calgary. Coach Bob Hartley does not hesitate to make lineup changes, however, so he may see the ice as soon as Thursday at Edmonton.
    • Flames' Setoguchi Over Injury

News: Devin Setoguchi is no longer bothered by the lower-body injury that he suffered early in camp, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports.
Analysis: Since being held out of a Sept. 22 practice with the injury, Devin Setoguchi has made appearances in two preseason games, suggesting he's back to full health. Setoguchi is set to play in the Flames' exhibition finale Saturday, skating on a line with Jiri Hudler and Matt Stajan.
    • Flames' Setoguchi Day-To-Day

News: Devin Setoguchi is day-to-day with a lower body injury, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 reports.
