• Wild's Dubnyk Inks Six-Year Contract

News: Devan Dubnyk signed a six-year, $25 million contract with Minnesota on Saturday, Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Analysis: The contract favors both parties, as Devan Dubnyk gains the security he was looking for with the length of the contract, and the Wild gain the goaltending consistency they have been looking for for years at a reasonable rate. Dubnyk had a phenomenal season after being traded to the Wild in January. He went 27-9-2 with a 1.78 GAA and a .936 save percentage in 39 games with Minnesota. That performance was enough to propel Dubnyk to Vezina Trophy finalist status in 2014-15, although it was a foregone conclusion that Carey Price would take home the award this year. Dubnyk will be a centerpiece of Minnesota's organization for years to come, and will be a top fantasy option on a defensively sound team for the foreseeable future.
  • Wild, Dubnyk Close To Extension

News: Devan Dubnyk is close to a contract extension with the Wild, reports Bob McKenzie of TSN.
Analysis: The report is a probable six-year deal at more than $4 million per year. It's "not done," but close.
  • Cinderella Story Ends for Dubnyk, Wild

News: Devan Dubnyk's magical run since joining Minnesota came to an end Thursday in Game 4 against Chicago, as he allowed three goals on 24 shots in a season-ending loss.
Analysis: As much winning as Devan Dubnyk did after joining the Wild, he couldn't steal a single victory away from the Blackhawks, who rolled to a four-game sweep. In fact, his dominance in the regular season was generally left behind in the regular season, as Dubnyk went just 4-6 with a 2.52 GAA and .908 save percentage in the playoffs -- well short of the spectacular play he put up after coming to Minnesota at the trade deadline. Nonetheless, he projects to be the Wild's starting goalie next season.
  • Wild's Dubnyk To Draw The Start Thursday

News: Devan Dubnyk will start Game 4 against Chicago on Thursday.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk turned in a strong outing in Game 3, allowing one goal on 22 shots faced, but the Wild ended up falling to the Blackhawks, 1-0. He will be in net again Thursday as the Wild try to extend the series.
  • Wild's Dubnyk Going For Game 3

News: Devan Dubnyk will be between the pipes for Tuesday's Game 3 against the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk has hardly looked sharp in the first two games of the series, stopping just 58 of 65 shots (.892 save percentage). With the Wild now down 2-0 as the series shifts to Minnesota, the team will need the Masterson Trophy nominee to come up huge to keep their playoff hopes alive. During 20 regular-season starts at the Xcel Energy Center, Dubnyk went 12-7-1 with a 2.01 GAA and .922 save percentage.
  • Dubnyk Bounces Back, But Wild Drop Game 3

News: Devan Dubnyk allowed just one goal on 22 shots Tuesday in Game 3 against Chicago, but it was one too many in a 1-0 loss.
Analysis: Dubs bounced back admirably after allowing seven goals in the first two games of the series, shutting things down completely after Patrick Kane tallied on a first-period power play, but his teammates couldn't get one past Corey Crawford. Now the Wild have their backs to the wall, down 3-0 in the series heading into Thursday's Game 4. Devan Dubnyk will almost certainly be in net for that one as he looks to avoid the end of what's been a breakout season.
  • Wild's Dubnyk Saves 27 In Loss

News: Devan Dubnyk stopped 27 of 30 shots in Sunday's Game 2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk is not solely to blame for the loss as the offense in front of him mustered just one goal, but he's now allowed seven goals in the two games against the Blackhawks. While he had some great outings against the Blues in the first round, Dubnyk's playoff production overall hasn't been able to match his stellar regular season as he's sporting a .906 save percentage compared to his .936 mark after joining the Wild.
  • Wild Turn To Dubnyk On Sunday

News: Devan Dubnyk is slated to start Sunday's game against the Hawks.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk, who stopped 31 of 35 shots in Friday's 4-3 loss to Chicago, will look to get back on the winning track in Game 2 of the team's second-round series on Sunday. During the regular season, the Vezina Trophy finalist logged a 27-9-2 record in 39 appearances in a Minnesota uniform, to go along with a 1.78 GAA and .936 save percentage.
  • Wild's Dubnyk Stops 31 Shots In Game 1 Loss

News: Devan Dubnyk turned away 31 of 35 shots in Friday's Game 1 loss to the Blackhawks.
Analysis: While he finished strong, it wasn't a good start for Devan Dubnyk, who was torched for three goals in the first period. Aside from a six-goal meltdown against the Blues in Game 4, Dubnyk has looked solid this postseason, posting a .908 save percentage. The 28-year-old, who posted a whopping .929 save percentage in the regular season, will need to be at his very best if Minnesota hopes to advance past Chicago in Round 2.
  • Wild's Dubnyk Will Start On Friday

News: Devan Dubnyk will be between the pipes in Friday's Game 1 against Chicago, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Devan Dubnyk, despite his performance in Game 4, was great in the Wild's first round series against the Blues, posting a .913 save percentage and a 2.32 GAA through six games. He was phenomenal in the Wild's series clinching Game 6 win over St. Louis, turning away 30 of the 31 shots he faced. If he can continue that sort of play in Round 2 against Chicago, the Wild will have a legitimate chance at moving on to the Western Conference Final.
