Video: Hideki Matsui in 'Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla'

Hideki Matsui's nickname, of course, was Godzilla. But in fact, he once helped save kids from Godzilla -- appearing in the 2002 film, "Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla."

Thanks to the wonder that is the Internet, the entire film (dubbed into English) is available on YouTube. Matsui's cameo starts at 36:41 and lasts just 25 seconds. The entire movie is here:

I can't say I'm really sure what's going on here, other than the fact he gets in one last home run off a kid pitcher before rounding up the kids to run away. But whatever Japan's version of the Oscars is, I'm sure he was at least nominated that year -- the English dub can't hide his talents.
