Photo of the day: Hawk Harrelson at leisure

By Dayn Perry | Baseball Writer

Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, emotionally invested broadcaster or Gentleman Ballplayer of Discriminating Tastes? As Hawk has proved beyond handsome doubt or charming shadow, you can be both ...

The collar is most high, one assumes, to protect his precious throat from being choked by the jealous husbands of the world.

In an SI story that similarly makes use of the above photographic study in joie de vivre, one sentence begins thus: "On a recent trip to Chicago he bought $175 worth of medallions in 10 minutes ..."

Possibly, those medallions annouced his Zodiac, if not his intentions.
