Eye on Basketball Podcast: This dunk contest is rigged
It's the last Pick-and-Troll podcast for 2012, so Matt Moore and I cozy up by the fire that is the DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento situation and bask in the glow of the carnage. Now that Cousins has been reinstated and it seems like there is division in the Kings'organization with the reinstatement, trade rumors are running wild. How can certain teams pluck him for the roster, and should the Kings even look into dealing him?
One of the interested teams is reportedly the Boston Celtics. They're in a bad place right now after getting blown out for the third straight game. They're a couple of games below .500 and back to being a poor offensive team like we saw last season. Is there a reason to panic? Is the East weak enough so they don't have to worry? Would adding Cousins fix anything short-term for them?
All of that, plus we preview Monday night's games, wish you a happy New Year's Eve and I complain for the first six minutes of the show about a performance art, hipster, trampoline dunk contest that I participated in this weekend.
Happy New Year, everybody!
