Eye on Basketball Podcast: Seven Saintly Rules For Proposing Trades

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

Matt Moore and I collaborate on a very special episode of the Pick and Troll Podcast to discuss trade proposals. Everybody loves trade rumors and trade season in the NBA because it means your team could be shaking things up. Maybe they're trying to add pieces to make a playoff run or, better yet, a title run. Or perhaps they're trying to shed contracts and look to the future.

Regardless of their plans, people instantly run to trade machines and salary lists to start proposing trades on social media and checking to see what others think of them. Sometimes, the offers can be a bit biased. That might get you Tommy Points, but it doesn't get you Pick and Troll points.

Matt and I have come up with Seven Saintly Rules for Proposing Trades. We ask that you follow these simple rules before inundating your followers and the people whom you follow with crazy trade proposals.

Have questions for the podcast? Send them to zach.harper@cbsinteractive.com or ask them on Twitter with the hashtag #EOBPod and we'll answer them on the show.
