Eye on Basketball Podcast: Frustration in the NBA

By Zach Harper | NBA writer

There is frustration spilling over in the NBA. Matt Moore and I are here to dissect it. During last night's Grizzlies-Thunder game, Russell Westbrook had an outburst involving a turnover because he wanted Thabo Sefolosha to cut and it didn't happen. Why did Westbrook have such an intense reaction to such a minor thing in a blowout victory? Is this part of why Westbrook is so fun to root for?

We also talk about the frustration Lionel Hollins has with his team's budgetary concerns. Is the trade of Rudy Gay from the Grizzlies a sign of cheapness or is it a sign of responsibility in the new climate of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement? Could Hollins' attitude lately and disconnect with the front office lead to him not coming back to coach the team next season? How big of a mistake would that be?

And with Brandon Roy's latest setback, we talk about the idea of expectations with Roy. There's all of that, Twitter frustration, and a preview of Friday night's action.
