Report: Orioles could consider moving starting pitchers
The Orioles could look to move some pitching later in the spring, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal.
Rosenthal spoke to a rival executive, who said the team could explore dealing lefty Zach Britton before spring training ends. Jake Arrieta was also mentioned as someone who might be available.
Given that this information is coming from a rival, it's unclear if this is anything more than speculation. The team does have many candidates for the rotation, but it's an issue of quantity over quality. None of the club's contenders are proven commodities. Jason Hammel and Wei-Yin Chen were effective last season but need to prove their performances are sustainable. Although Arrieta, Britton, Brian Matusz and Chris Tillman were once thought to be the future of the club's rotation, none have emerged as strong options.
