The Harlem Globetrotters are up for grabs -- though it appears they will come with a hefty price tag.
Shamrock Capital Advisors, which took over 80 percent ownership of the team in 2005, is selling the Globetrotters and hoping to fetch better than $50 million, according to Reuters.
The Globetrotters have -- apropos of their name -- traveled the world putting on basketball exhibitions, including a trip to North Korea this past March. Established in 1926, the team has played over 25,000 games, typically roughing up the under-manned Washington Generals.
No one at Shamrock was available for comment, but sources told Reuters the process of the sale was in the later stages.
