One-armed golfer makes hole-in-one

Recording a hole-in-one is difficult enough; for Ben Crocker of St. Louis, the odds were even less in his favor.

Crocker lost his right arm in a railroad accident nearly 40 years ago. But that didn't stop the 63-year-old, who holed out on the 131-yard ninth hole at St. Louis' Glen Echo Country Club.

"It was kind of one of those things on my bucket list," Crocker said. "Kind of like the Blues winning the Stanley Cup. It was gonna be which one happens first."

Crocker, who swings back-handed with his left arm, carried the water and watched as the ball bounced a couple times then disappeared.

"It was kind of exciting," Crocker said. "When it happens, you're almost in a daze. You realize it happened; you just don't really believe it."
