The Miami Heat will celebrate their third NBA championship with a parade on Monday, and city officials have announced that fans will not be allowed to carry backpacks.

Several events in recent months have taken extra security measures in light of April's Boston Marathon bombing. A user's comments on Twitter late Thursday, after the Heat beat the Spurs to win the NBA Finals, seemed to threaten the Heat's planned victory parade, CBS Miami reported Friday evening.

The first tweet was posted around 11:15 p.m. ET, with another following after midnight, both referencing the bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15 that killed three people and injured roughly 140. "That'd be So cool," read part of the tweet from the account holder's first posting.

"As with all major events, we always get a threat here and there and we take every threat serious. Obviously we don't want a recurrence like a 9/11 or a Boston, for that matter," Miami police Sgt. Freddie Cruz told CBS Miami on Friday.

The FBI issued a statement saying investigators are looking into the posts.

Officials estimated that last year's parade celebrating the Heat's championship drew about 400,000 people, according to the Associated Press. The route will be the same.

There will also be an event at American Airlines Arena for Miami season-ticket holders following the parade.
