Noah VanVooren, a senior at Little Chute HS (Wisconsin) with Down syndrome, scored on a 35-yard touchdown run, topping off his team's playoff-sealing 62-0 win over Clintonville this past Friday night.

“With 1.2 seconds left on the clock, Little Chute called time out. As the crowd chanted ‘Noah, Noah!' VanVooren jogged onto the field and lined up alongside quarterback Sam Merryfield,” via The Post Crescent.

“I thought maybe Noah would be nervous,” said first-year coach said Brian Ryczkowski. “A little bit,” VanVooren quickly added, but that was after his 35-yard touchdown burst.

VanVooren, a manager for the football team and an ardent supporter of Little Chute's basketball team, apparently began bugging the coach once the game was out of hand in the third quarter.

“The senior kept asking teammates to adjust his helmet and either tighten or loosen his chinstrap,” the paper wrote.

Following VanVooren's score, he led his team in the school song.

Awesome.
