Former international soccer star David Beckham has spent his first couple months of retirement mulling over a location for a new MLS franchise. It seems he has settled on a decision.

According to the Associated Press, Beckham plans to start an MLS franchise in Miami.

“I think bringing an MLS team here to South Florida would be exciting,” he said back in June. “I think Miami fans are very passionate about their sports and very passionate about winning.”

Beckham, who won back-to-back titles with the Los Angeles Galaxy, had a clause in his contract that stipulated that he could start a franchise for $25 million.

The MLS is currently at 19 teams, but Commissioner Don Garber has said that he would like the league to expand to 24 teams by 2020.
