Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt's memoir will be released next week, and, among other things, the world record holder cops to chowing down on 1,000 chicken McNuggets in a 10-day span during the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

“At first I ate a box of 20 for lunch, then another for dinner. The next day I had two boxes for breakfast, one for lunch and then another couple in the evening," he writes, according to the New York Post. "I even grabbed some fries and an apple pie to go with it."

He goes on to estimate that he ate about 100 nuggets every 24 hours.

“Man, I should have gotten a gold medal for all that chowing down," he says.

So this is terrific news! If one of the most fit athletes in the world can successfully subsist on roughly 100 nuggets a day -- all while setting world records and winning gold medals -- why can't we?

Well, there is a small issue related to the amount of calories Bolt burns in a day against how many he consumes.

So, yeah, probably not a very good idea for the common folk.
