Lindsey Vonn's defense of the Olympic downhill gold medal may now be in jeopardy.
Vonn crashed during training in Colorado Tuesday and was taken off the hill on a sled. It is not yet known the extent of Vonn's injury, but United States Ski Team spokesman Tom Kelly said there is no reason to believe it's serious.
"We have no reason to believe it's anything significant right now," Kelly told The Associated Press.
As an echo to that sentiment, Vonn's spokesman Lewis Kay told the AP that she was not admitted to the hospital and returned home to Vail to visit with the doctor that performed her knee surgery.
Kay added that Vonn's camp expects more details in the next day or so.
Vonn tore ligaments in her knee in February, but she was expected to compete in next year's Olympics in Sochi.
