Jennifer Capriati gets deal in battery, stalking case

By Evan Hilbert |

Palm Beach (Fla.) County prosecutors have dropped charges against former tennis star Jennifer Capriati with regards to a battery and stalking case dating back to last March.

Capriati, 37, was charged with punching an ex-boyfriend and, before that, stalking him for months. Those charges have been dropped after Capriati completed 30 hours of community service and anger management counseling, according to the Associated Press.

A former teen prodigy, Capriati has been struggling with off the court issues for years, including various legal issues and drug use. She retired from tennis in 2004 and was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2012.
