As a thank you for being the best in the world in their particular sport, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has given all Russian medalists a Mercedes-Benz and $200,000.

According to the Moscow Times, gold medalists received a Mercedes GL-Class SUV worth $146,500, while silver medalists got Mercedes ML-Class worth $99,500 and third-place finishers were given a Mercedes GLK-Class worth $59,500.

It was a competition, after all, and to the victor goes the spoils.

There was a slight problem with the vehicle giveaway, however. Two medalists, 15-year-old figure skater Julia Lipnitskaia or 17-year-old Adelina Sotnikova, do not have driver's licenses.

Medvedev, however, has provided each of the ladies drivers.

In all, 45 cars were given out to Russian athletes.
