Florida authorities arrested former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver Saturday night after the boxer missed a court appearance in Nevada on charges that he passed bad checks.
Tarver, 45, lives in Florida but allegedly wrote a check with insufficient funds in Las Vegas. Clark County (Nev.) authorities then issued a warrant for Tarver's arrest.
He is currently being held $215,425 bond, according to the Associated Press.
A one-time Olympic bronze medalist in 1996, Tarver's career record stands at 30-6.
