The Ultimate Warrior died last week due to cardiovascular disease, authorities announced on Monday.

The autopsy, performed last Thursday, was conducted by the Maricopa County, AZ, medical examiner's office.

Warrior, 54, collapsed outside of a hotel room in Arizona last Tuesday, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Born James Hellwig, Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on the Saturday before his death, and he spoke inside the ring at Monday's WWE Raw last week. Warrior was a wrestling sensation in the late 1980s and throughout the '90s, known for his signature ring entrance where he would sprint to the ring and then rattle the ropes.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
