Australia's Nick Kyrgios stole the first set from Rafael Nadal in their fourth round matchup at Wimbledon on Tuesday, but he saved his best effort for one particular moment in the second set.
Kyrgios played probably the shot of the year, let alone the shot of Wimbledon, as he non-chalantly knocked a return drop-shot through his legs for the point. It takes some kind of something to try that shot when you're up a set, deadlocked in the second at three games each against the No. 1 player in the world. Kyrgios maintained his moxie to pull the stunning upset. It's the first time Nadal has lost to a teenager since 2007.
Shot of the year? Nick Kyrgios facing forward on baseline, coolly hits winner between his legs. You'll be seeing THAT highlight.— John Branch (@JohnBranchNYT) July 1, 2014
