Floyd Mayweather and Marcos Maidana are already set for a rematch.
After a May 3 bout yielded a majority-decision victory for Mayweather over the Argentinian Maidana, a rematch seemed inevitable; this is boxing, after all. It took a while to announce it but on Thursday afternoon, Money did just that.
The bout is scheduled for Sept. 13 once again at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
In the first bout Mayweather took the WBA Welterweight title from Maidana in a majority decision. One judge scored it a draw at 114-114 while the other two judges saw it 116-112 and 117-111 in Mayweather's favor, keeping his professional record perfect at 46-0.
