WATCH: Young fan loses it with Steven Gerrard autograph

By Brian Stubits |

Teams like Liverpool FC might be a long ways from home with their international tours to prepare for the season but with the Premier League's increasing reach, they are never far from die-hard fans, including those awe-struck teenagers.

In the Reds' recent visit to New Jersey as part of their American tour, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard visited some of the mass number of fans waiting for a chance to say hi and perhaps an autograph. Gerrard granted that wish for one girl and, well, she kind of freaked out.

You would think he played for a band that visited the USA from Liverpool, not a soccer club.

We're assuming here this meant a lot to a young fan so good on Gerrard for taking the time to make her day week year with a moment she'll probably not forget (especially with the help of video from Liverpool).

The 34-year-old Gerrard is a career-long Liverpudlian who had 14 goals in 39 total appearances with the Reds last season as well as representing England internationally.
