Rest assured, Barcelona fans, Luis Suarez has vowed not to sink his teeth into any opponents ever again.

“I say to all the fans, don't worry, because I won't do that anymore,” he said Tuesday to the media, one day after debuting in a friendly for his new team against Mexican side Leon.

The shiny new Liverpool transfer is in the throes of his four-month suspension after he bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini at this summer's World Cup in Brazil. FIFA upheld the suspension, a result of the recent appeal from Suarez, but tweaked his punishment so that the striker could participate in friendlies and practice with his new teammates, including Neymar and Lionel Messi. The press conference had to be on Tuesday, one day after the exhibition, because of the language of the suspension.

It's a bold promise from Suarez, who has now had three biting incidents during his career. While he can get acclimated with his new squad on the practice field, Suarez won't officially debut until October 26.
