John Daly withdraws from Greenbrier, set for elbow surgery

John Daly withdrew from The Greenbrier Classic on Friday and later tweeted that he would be out the next three to four months.

Daly withdrew after playing just three holes Friday, according to the Associated Press, and later tweeted that he "tore the tendon today." He shot a 5-over 75 Thursday.

Of the eight PGA Tour and Web.com events Daly has played in this year, he's missed the cut or withdrawn from five.
