VIDEO: Globetrotter avoids serious injury as hoop collapses during stunt
William "Bull" Bullard, a Harlem Globetrotter, was fortunately able to walk away after pulling a stunt where the hoop collapsed beneath him and the backboard shattered on the ground.
It looked awful, but Harlem Globetrotter William “Bull” Bullard is lucky he walked away from an alley-oop stunt at a recent exhibition in Honduras.
Bullard took a pass high off the backboard and finished the jam, but as he tried to plant his feet on the backboard, the hoop collapsed under him. The glass shattered on the floor when the hoop came crashing down, and as seen in the video, Bullard suffered some sort of cut to his head.
He was able to walk off under his own power and eventually returned to the court to cheer his teammates on.
