Baseball has existed for nearly two centuries, but every once in a while we're still treated to something totally unique.

We've seen pitches behind the batter. We've seen pitches that land five feet in front of the mound. We've even seen pitches from rappers that nearly take out camera men.

But it's safe to say we have never seen a pitch like this one, thrown by a Lincoln High School (Arkansas) pitcher in a JV game earlier this season.

Keep in mind that according to Garrett Prater, who posted the video to Twitter, the pitcher is a foreign exchange student from Mexico who had never pitched before in his life.

The effort is simply remarkable. Given the arm strength he displayed in launching the ball into the stratosphere, the kid probably brought some serious heat once he took the launch angle down a few degrees.
