WATCH: This 41-shot ping pong rally is mesmerizing
In a team table-tennis semifinal at the Commonwealth Games, Nigeria's Segun Toriola won an awesome 41-shot rally over Singapore's Gao Ning with incredible defense.
Sometimes the best offense really is a good defense as Nigerian table tennis player Segun Toriola reminded Gao Ning of Singapore at the Commonwealth Games on Monday.
With the two nations meeting in the team semifinals, Toriola was matched with the No. 12 ranked player in the world who went on the offensive in this point but 41 shots later it was Toriola picking up the point after some of the best defending you'll witness. At one point Ning even tried the drop shot with Toriola off the table so far but he was able to get that back in play as well. Eventually Ning sailed a forehand long to Toriola's delight.
Ning did go on to win the match in five sets and Singapore advanced to the final by defeating Nigeria 3-1 but this point was worthy of a medal on its own.
