Cameron hasn't reached full swing
"We can't expect those two guys to carry us all the time," Yostadded. "Other guys need to step up and do what they've done on thisroad trip: carry them, once in a while."
Step forward: Though every reliever who followed him to the moundmelted down, former closer Eric Gagne was solid in his return toaction for the first time since coming off the disabled list. Gagnepitched the eighth inning, retiring all three batters he faced,including a strikeout of Mark Reynolds.
Before going on the disabled list May 21 with rotator cufftendinitis, Gagne failed to retire the side in order in 13consecutive innings.
"It felt pretty good for being out so long," Gagne said. "I wasstill a little rusty. I'm just focusing on getting the ball down andthrowing strikes."
Tickets available: The Brewers are expecting big crowds today andSunday for their weekend series against Pittsburgh. But, assometimes happens on holiday weekends, their advance sale forSaturday was not as brisk.
The Brewers have plenty of tickets available for that game, whichwill be played as a Negro Leagues tribute by the two teams. TheBrewers will wear replica uniforms honoring the 1923 Milwaukee Bearsand the Pirates will wear uniforms saluting the Pittsburgh Crawfords(1933-'38).
