Ajax opens up 6-point lead in Dutch league


AMSTERDAM (AP) -Derk Boerrigter scored twice as Ajax beat De Graafschap 3-1 to open up a six-point lead at the top of the Dutch league on Sunday.

Christian Eriksen was also on target for the defending champions.

With four more rounds remaining, Ajax has 64 points. AZ Alkmaar, which lost 3-2 at PSV Eindhoven on Saturday, has 58. Third-place Feyenoord also has 58, one more than FC Twente, which was held to a 2-2 draw at home to NAC Breda on Saturday.

Also Sunday, Renato Ibarra scored the only goal in Vitesse Arnhem's 1-0 win over ADO The Hague.

Frank Demouge scored twice as FC Utrecht beat VVV-Venlo 4-2, while Heracles Almelo drew 1-1 with RKC Waalwijk.
