GLASOW, Scotland (AP) -Swansea's chairman says Celtic has accepted a bid for South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.
Huw Jenkins says talks are being held with the 23-year-old Ki and his agent to agree personal terms.
South Wales club Swansea, which has just started its second season in the English Premier League, is reported to have bid more than 5 million pounds ($8 million) for Ki.
Jenkins told Scottish broadcaster STV "we are aware of other clubs' interest but we are hopeful we can conclude a deal in the next 24 hours."
Ki helped South Korea's Olympic football team win bronze earlier this month at the London Games.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon indicated Monday that the Scottish champions' strategy is to cultivate young players like Ki and "eventually move them on" for profit.
