BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -Valencia beat Celta Vigo 2-1 and Malaga downed Levante 3-1 in the Spanish league on Saturday, days before their Champions League openers.
Sofiane Feghouli and Ali Cissokho scored in each half to give Valencia a much-needed first victory in La Liga, boosting its morale ahead of Wednesday's game against Bayern Munich.
New arrival Javier Saviola scored one and set up Joaquin Sanchez for a second to give Malaga the lead for good at La Rosaleda Stadium before Francisco Portillo capped Malaga's third win in four rounds in injury time.
Malaga opens its maiden Champions League campaign against Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday, while Levante debuts in the Europa League on Thursday.
Later, Barcelona is at Getafe before Real Madrid visits Sevilla.
