ATHENS, Greece (AP) -Rafik Djebbour scored a goal and assisted in another to help defending champion Olympiakos beat Giannena 2-1 in the Greek league on Saturday.

Costas Mitroglou opened the scoring off a Djebbour cross in the 60th minute and Djebbour made it 2-0 in the 67th before Fotis Georgiou pulled one back for Giannena a minute later.

The hosts nearly equalized in injury time, but two big saves by veteran goalkeeper Roy Carroll preserved victory for the Piraeus team.

Earlier, archrival Panathinaikos stumbled at newcomer Panthrakikos, losing 1-0 on an 83rd-minute goal by forward Dimitris Papadopoulos, a former Panathinaikos player.

Also, Levadiakos and Veria played to a scoreless draw.
