Aberdeen fights back to hold SPL leader Motherwell

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) -Josh Magennis scored deep in injury time to complete Aberdeen's comeback against Motherwell on Sunday, clinching a 3-3 draw in the Scottish Premier League.

Gavin Rae put Aberdeen in front after six minutes, but Michael Higdon equalized from close range just before half time.

Defender Shaun Hutchinson headed Motherwell in front three minutes after the break, and Nicky Law made it 3-1 in the 82nd minute.

But Aberdeen substitute Niall McGinn headed home two minutes later to set up a rousing finish, with Magennis hitting the equalizer to limit Motherwell to a one-point lead over Hibernian in the standings.

Champion Celtic is third, a point further back, after beating bottom-place Dundee 2-0 on Saturday.
