LONDON (AP) -Tottenham was held to an unexpected 1-1 draw by out-of-form Panathinaikos in the Europa League on Thursday as Italian teams Inter Milan and Lazio earned their first group-stage wins in the competition.
Spurs, one of three English representatives, fielded a strong lineup in Greece but conceded a 77th-minute equalizer to Toche after taking the first-half lead through Michael Dawson.
It was Tottenham's second straight draw and leaves the team third in Group J, which is headed by Lazio on four points after its 1-0 home win over Maribor of Slovenia.
In Group H, Inter beat Neftci of Azerbaijan 3-1 and is level on four points with Rubin Kazan, which defeated Partizan Belgrade 2-0.
