LONDON (AP) -CONCACAF President Jeffrey Webb has been hospitalized in London after being taken ill on a flight.
The 48-year-old Webb was forced to cancel a speech he was due to make Wednesday at the Leaders in Football Conference at Stamford Bridge after being taken ill on his flight Monday.
"Doctors thoroughly evaluated President Webb regarding his shortness of breath," conference organizers said in a statement on Wednesday. "Standard procedures to establish his overall state of health were performed and precautionary measures followed. After two days of observation and tests, specialists concluded President Webb is in good condition."
Webb succeeded Jack Warner in May as president of football's governing body for North and Central America and the Caribbean. Warner quit in 2011 in the middle of a corruption investigation.
