Mullan has surgery on his left knee


COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Rapids midfielder Brian Mullan will miss the team's final two matches after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Thursday.

The Aurora, Colo., native will need four to six weeks to recover from the surgery, which was performed by team doctor Wayne Gersoff in Denver.

Mullan made 25 starts for the Rapids this season, scoring two goals and collecting seven assists. He has made 307 regular season MLS appearances.
